Hiking trip ( with integrated Spanish learning optional)

For those of you who love to combine nature and outdoor activity, we have the perfect hiking adventure holiday trip for you.

Come hiking in Spain and enjoy the blue skies of sunny Andalusia, Southern Spain. There was a report done in 2016 and confirmed that there was on average 320 sunny days each year.

The hiking trips are graded below. If you are interested in a trip but are unsure of the grading or level of fitness required, please contact us directly.

The hikes will mostly take place in the world famous El Chorro and it’s local environment. El Chorro is known for the Camino Del Rey, which used to be known as the ´scariest walkway in the world´, but has since been renovated and is now visited by many people and was voted in the Top 10 places in the world to visit in 2015. It is a small village one hours´ drive from Malaga in the mountains. Accommodation for this trip will be in a dormitory (upgrades are available) at a wonderful rustic location just outside the small village of El Chorro.

A typical day will consist of a tasty buffet breakfast at the pool ( weather permitting), then we will head out on an unforgettable hike through the stunning countryside. We will bring a picnic lunch with us to enjoy on our route. For those who are interested in practising and improving your Spanish language skills, we will integrate the language into your daily routine. You can practise your Spanish on the walks, at breakfast, ordering a coffee. We will focus on practical real life everyday language.

The hikes will take on average 5 hours per day ( see below for more details – trips are graded) and most will involve hills but each hike can be adjusted to your personal ability. Your guide will explain the local natural features and introduce you to the local wildlife and birds. El Chorro is a remote rural area which is a hikers paradise. The landscape is jaw dropping. Some of our hikes also take place at a world famous local UNESCO world heritage site near the local town of Antequera. Other hikes will take in parts of the Gran Senda de Málaga, a superb walking trail running right through Malaga province.

You will then be free to chill and relax at the pool, have fun on the slacklines or go for a breath-taking sunset stroll. After which, we will get together to chat through the days activities over a sumptuous dinner.

Accommodation will be in a dormitory at a wonderful rustic countryside location. Upgrades on sleeping arrangements are available, please contact us for more details. there is the possibility of private rooms, small apartments or large apartments to share with friends. Many of our guests come as solo travellers and we also cater for clubs and groups of friends.

All of this makes this hiking in Spain trip a fantastic way to meet new friends, become inspired and motivated, and learn new skills at the same time.
